Enjoy life in the slow
lane! Prairie Cottage Guest House, a restored native stone home is
located in the small friendly town of Ransom. Isabel planned the
house and Henry quarried the stone nearby and built it for her in
1898. Come and relax in this turn-of-the-century home that Henry
and Isabel enjoyed during their later years. Isabel's porch is an
inviting place for your morning coffee and quiet contemplation.
The
area is noted for prime hunting and fishing combined with
Western Kansas hospitality. Wild flowers abound in green
pastures during the spring and the rocky out croppings often
yield fossilized shark's teeth and other fossils of marine life!
